I have never known a world without Mary Lane, and my world will never be the same without her. My mum, Marion Doyle, met Mary when Mary was just 19, and they have been best friends ever since. I have known Mary since the day I was born—she has been woven into every family memory I hold dear. For 48 years, she brought friendship and joy into our lives, and I am forever grateful.
