I had the pleasure of first meeting Mary on the Cooperative Trainers and Organisers course in Coop Studies in the early 80’s. Mary played an influential part, throughout the years in various settings in the community and voluntary sector life of Cork. Mary was a remarkable and unique woman who made a great and meaningful contribution to social justice in our society.
