Sincere sympathy Margaret on the death of your mother. She was a lovely lady. Both of your parents were great friends with my parents and I have fond memories of both. I occasionally worked with your dad and was often rewarded with some great dinners prepared by your mother and which regularly included vegetables grown by your father in his own garden.
Unfortunately I only saw the notice in the missalette at St Agnes Church this morning and missed the funeral.

Despite her heroically long life, I'm sure the passing of the unique Mary is a terrible wrench. She was an extraordinary woman and I have fond memories of visiting her in Walkinstown - where do the years go? May she enjoy her well-earned eternal rest now. She has left her own unique 'footprints on the sands of time' and will reap the harvest of eternal peace for a life well-lived. Our heartfelt sympathy especially to Margaret. 🌹

Mary was a dear friend to my late mother, Mary.
They met in Dublin in the early 1950s and their friendship lasted a lifetime.
My husband, Allen, and I enjoyed many happy visits to see Mary at the Marlay Nursing Home. Mary was so happy and content there and always in good humour.
