I had the great pleasure of working alongside Mary in the Laragh Glendalough Active Retirement Group, where she served as Chairperson. Her organisational skills, creativity and experience had such a positive impact on the group. She introduced new workshops and activities each week and brought so much energy and enthusiasm to everything she did.

Mary created amazing hampers for raffles and Tea Dances, arranged thoughtful gifts for each member at Christmas and Valentine’s and always made sure there was a cake to celebrate birthdays. Even after she became unwell, she continued to show up each week because she never wanted to let the group down. She was truly an inspiration, her determination and courage were remarkable.

Her family meant everything to her and little Abigail was the absolute apple of her eye.

I feel truly blessed to have known Mary. She will be deeply missed.

Ive known Mary since starting secondary school in Rathdrum (tech)and have remained friends all these years, Mary, Ann, and myself always looked forward to meeting up for birthdays and other occasions during the year.
