The ICA. What a lovely, warm, genuine and knowledgeable lady she was. It was always so nice to meet up with her and there was always lots of laughter along with good solid advice. She enriched the lives of so many people. May her gentle soul rest in peace.

I was so sorry to hear about Mary. They say it takes a village and Mary was one of the lovely Mountain Park Mammies who kept an eye on us as we all played together. I have nothing but great memories of Mary and Sam and now they are lovingly reunited.

Very sorry to hear of the passing of Mrs Lucas. Brought me back to Mountain Park during the summers in the late 1970s when dozens of children happily played together on the road, from 9am to 9pm! Always remember Mrs Lucas keeping an eye on us, her smiling at our childish pranks but, if she raised her eyebrow, we knew to stop whatever particular devilment we were up to!

I hope to honour Mary on Thursday and take up that seat once more. St. Maelruains has lost a very dear friend.

She was a treasured member of our Flower Guild for as long as many of us can remember and was a member of the committee of St. Maelruain’s Flower Festival some years ago. To Miriam and extended family. I am so sorry to hear passing of Mary. She was lovely warm hearted person. I.ll aways remember my mum Ruth talking about mothers union outings etc how they all had crack together and laughs. She will be missed very much by all who knew her.
