Sincere condolences to Gerard, all the Collins and Cantwell families and all who mourn Mai on her passing.

I have fond memories of meeting Mai across my childhood visits to Thurles, but in more recent years I have always appreciated the prayers and rosaries that she said everyday for us. I believe at one point Mai was saying three rosaries a day while I was expecting Séamus and then when I was expecting our twin boys. I was so delighted to have been able to visit her a few years ago to introduce her to the baby Séamus and we had a lovely special visit that day. She was a wonderful, kind, thoughtful, generous lady and will always be remembered fondly and kept in our prayers.
