Time spent in Maidie's company was beyond therapeutic. The most welcoming and kindest of hosts who was at her best when entertaining and hosting. Maidie's genuine interest and love of people was so special. You left her company inspired and enriched. You also left it with a little treat. Maidie's love of young people kept her young at heart and this was very much a reciprocal relationship. We as a family are so grateful that Maidie was such a vibrant and radiating beautiful presence in our lives. We will miss those inspirational visits to Maidie in Cross but we will continue to be inspired by Maidie's wonderful human legacy.

Her knowledge of families & connections were unbelievable , often we would say Maidie would know that…her hospitality was wonderful , she would nt be happy unless you sat into the table…I loved meeting her and listening to her, her company would brighten you day.
I know ye will all miss her dearly.
