My heartfelt sympathy to Darragh, Lorcan Deirdre and Conor on the death of your beloved mother, Mary.
I was privileged to know her in Ardscoil as teacher and Principal.
I will always remember and cherish her friendship and the work she did for our school as a member of our Parents' Council later as that silent visitor who came into school in her own inimitable way, quietly and unannounced to beautify our corridors, oratory and Virgin Mary statue on a weekly basis.
No trumpet sound from Mary. She made her way to the flower market by bus and then to the school and home again often without anyone knowing
Unassuming always. This went on for may months until I bumped into her and enquired - she made little of it all.
What a wonderful, kind and generous lady. We enjoyed many interesting chats whenever I "caught" her on her floral movement. on these chats I got to know her and her lovely family. She was so proud of them all.
She was a wonderful kind and generous woman and our school is indebted to her for her kind services.

We send our sympathy and deepest condolences to Darragh, Lorcan, Deirdre, Conor and all the family on the death of your beautiful mother and our cousin Mary. It was our privilege to be welcomed to Mary's family home in Rialto where we spent many happy days with her and her sister Elizabeth, especially St. Stephen's day.
Mary embodied the kindness, generosity and hospitality of our beloved aunt Lily and uncle Peter.
Being one of our older cousins we envied her style and sophistication, she was the epitome of grace and elegance and had infinite patience with us as we talked about fashion, hit records, film stars and most importantly when she met Pat, her loving husband.
After they married and moved to Elm Mount she welcomed her family and friends. We continued to enjoy her baking, her floral arrangements and her beautiful garden which Pat created and we were glad to share her joy when she had her children, she was so proud of each and every one of you and her grandchildren.
May God give you strength in the days to come.
