Peggy Doyle was lovely. She was a great friend to my parents, Aidan & Grace O'Hara, and together with her sisters, a great hostess to all of our family. Peggy was very much a part of our Christmases growing up, and made us all feel welcome at her home every year. Even when Peggy was a guest, coming down to Tipperary with my mother, Grace to keep us company after Aidan died, she was hospitable (I seem to remember Peggy bringing out a surprise treat every day, when we were on a long weekend in Kilgarvan, near Terryglass, in Tipperary). To give to others, the way Peggy did, without expecting a return, is a rare gift. It is an honour to have known Peggy Doyle.
Sincere condolences to Peggy Doyle's sister, Rosemary, on the death of her sister Peggy.
Dear Rosemary, sincere condolences to you and to the Doyle family on Peggy’s death. The Christmas mornings firstly in 271 and later Nutley with the Doyle Sisters are etched in my memory and in the memories of Eoin,Margaret and Rachel. Peggy was a wonderful person kind, wise and very witty.she also had the gift of making a child or young adult feel like an individual worthy of her attention. Barney and Trilby adored her…..they even moved to Nutley Park to be near to her!.
Deepest sympathy to Peggy’s family.

I remember her way back in 1972 when I joined the staff of Trinity Library. She ran the Librarian’s Office and a lot more for many years. Always efficient and always polite with a great sense of humour used to great effect when she needed someone to do something for her!

She is remembered with affection by past staff of a certain age.
Sincere condolences to you Rose Marie and your extended family on the death of your beloved sister Peggy. May she rest in peace.

Dearest Peggy,

Where to begin! You were such a strong, wonderful, bright and thoughtful light. I will miss you. I am so grateful for my last visit to Ireland when I was able to see you, Joan and Rose Marie together. You took such wonderful care of me and introduced me to all that is Ireland when I had the opportunity to stay with you and Joan following my college graduation in 1987. I am forever thankful for so many wonderful memories together both in Ireland and the US and was so grateful for your letter, when I got married. I am sending all of my thoughts, prayers and condolences to Rose Marie, John and the entire Doyle family. God bless you always Peggy and thank you for enriching my life. All my love always, Amy

Dear Aunt Peggy,
You were accepting, loving, gentle, generous, funny and kind to me. I met you in person after my first flight at age 18. My family flew from Virginia USA to Dublin Ireland. I was honored to meet my first Irish relative and extremely jetlagged. My mom wanted me to stay up and adjust however the red eye was 2 much. You wrapped me in goose down comforters and put me to bed for a day. Thanks for loving me and my family. You were an angel on earth and now in heaven. God bless. Xoxoxo
Dear, dear Peg! The world is a smaller place without you. Your American Cousins miss you just as much on this side of the Atalntic! We have so many wonderful memories of visits with you and Joan at Nutley Park and family sessions with Rose Marie and John and the OKellys and Dick and Kay Cotter and all their progeny. And what a great time we all had in the Outer Banks of North Carolina! Rest in Peace and save us a spot please.
