Having lived directly across the road from Maura and the family for decades, our experience of Maura was a strong and intelligent woman, always willing to share an 'ad-hoc' piece of news , or even a deeper analysis depending on the subject or topic.
In fact the 'Irish Times ' newspaper was enthusiastically sent across the road especially when an article of interest required deeper discussion.
We'll always remember her with great fondness.
