Mary was one of our oldest and dearest friends. She lived with us in Termonfeckin for many years after she returned from Glasgow following the tragic death of her beloved Aidan (Eddie). Mary was like a 2nd mother to Marian, Siobhan, Lorraine & Fiona and we have lovely memories of Sunday afternoon trips in her little red mini. She was devoted to her faith and said prayers with us for every occasion (bedtime, spelling tests and even if we lost something).
We miss you already Mary and give our Fiona a big hug from us.

I am very sad and shocked at.mary passing so quickly i loved my visits to her lovely house and to the hospital too we will miss her so much as all her aqua buddies will too.a genuine lady and friend rip mary hope.you are.with all your family gone before you telling them all your stories

If something had to be done Mary was the go to person

Mary a stalwart toiler for the community and a pillar of St. Josephs Parish and Church. Mary committed herself body and soul to everything she was connected too. From bingo to ballroom dancing to her work in the church she gave 100%

We’re so very sad to hear of Mary’s passing. She started out working for our Dad Dan McCullough in Maple Drive but over the years became a wonderful friend to our family. A kind and thoughtful person who was like a second mother to myself and Suzanne. I always admired her independence and determination. Rest in peace Mary, you were one of the best.

I happened to share a room with Mary on Newgrange Ward in Our lady of Lourdes hospital for over a week. We had lot of little chats over that time and I found her to be a woman of good faith. May Mary rest in eternal peace.

My wonderful godmother Mary has just passed away, and my heart is full of memories.

I remember Mary and her mum, Nan, in Scotland when I was just a little girl. Mary later came to live with us in Coolkirk during my childhood and became such a huge part of our lives. She was deeply loved by Breige King and her four daughters, truly a cornerstone of our upbringing.

Some of my fondest memories are sitting by the fire with Mary as we said our novenas together, and every Sunday afternoon when Mary, my mum, and us 4 King girls would pile into the back of her little red Mini for a drive.

I have so many wonderful memories of this lovely lady. I know she’s in a better place now, happy and laughing with Aiden.

I first met Mary about 12 years ago when I joined aqua aerobics. She had her favourite corner in the pool and that was her place to exercise. She had a great sense of humour and during the summertime she would tell you how many days were left until Christmas.

Mary’s legacy is permanently woven into the fabric of Mell; may her example inspire our own faith and service. We trust that she is now interceding for us from Heaven, enjoying the eternal rewards of her fruitful labours.

Rest in peace Mary, I have many happy memories of you calling to our house in Sunhill when we were children. I used to love to hear your laugh as it was so infectious and when you brought us out for a spin in your little red mini across the hill of Almondstown or even better over the humpback bridge in Termonfeckin and the squeals of us in the back you used to laugh so hard. In later years Mary I would see you every morning on my way to work coming home from Mass and you delivering a newspaper to various neighbours in Trinity Gardens. Rest well Mary, I for one will miss you.
