I'm so sorry to see this lovely young woman has passed away. I definitely had dealings with her or simply knew her from around Sligo. She was a very pleasant person. Dear Owen,family & colleagues,I am shocked and saddened to hear of Mary's passing she was a dear friend & peer in public art,she trailblazed in her delivery of the Placing Art programme in the early 00s,the outcomes of which formed the frameworks for how we commission artists in different ways today in Ireland.Her work was hugely influential on me and the bonus was that she was the most lovely person to talk and reflect on workings of the sector with.I valued her knowledge and advice which she always gave generously and without judgement.This photo is beautiful and it is how will remember her,she is a big loss x

Her expertise in public art, in particular, was widely recognised and she was enormously generous with thoughtful insights. She will be very much missed.
