Mary McEvoy

From Shorewood, Milwaukee area in Wisconsin -
Just learned of Mary's passing. Her anti-war passion influenced us greatly during the Viet Nam war years and still resounds - no matter where or for what reason. We were blessed to have known her.

We are very sorry to hear of Mary's death. She was forever young and positive. We worked together for years in the National Rehabilitation Board (NRB). She was a great campaigner, loyal and devoted. She will be missed by all who knew her and to whom she brought music, fun and laughter.

I met Mary in the late 60’s in Milwaukee. She and my parents formed Catholics for Peace and Justice at our local church. I babysat her kids. Years passed and we reunited in the mid 2000’s when she was visiting friends in Milwaukee. In the following years Marybeth and I visited Mary in Dublin, then Bray, many times. We went to every Avoca store, Mary Kate and the three of us squeezed into Mary’s bumble bee yellow fiat. We called ourselves sisters. Mary brought such joy and love into our lives. We send love and appreciation to Mary Kate, Tim and family, Aine and everyone else who loved and misses her.
