So sad to hear this news. Mary was my geography teacher at StAnns and honestly I don’t think I would ever have finished school, let alone create a life loving travel, adventure and geography, without her influence and care. She was more than a teacher to so many of us. Much love and strength to her family at this time. Rest well Mary- you left a huge legacy.
I was lucky enough to have Ms Decourcey as my music teacher ,she was such a lovely lady and a wonderful teacher.
May her gentle soul rest in peace.

Deeply saddened to hear of Mary’s passing. A vibrant, considerate and kind neighbour, and a friend to many. She always had a smile and a fun conversation whenever we met. She created a real sense of community around her and was sensitive and supportive to those she knew.

I shall miss seeing her, waving over or passing the time of day. A truly lovely lady.

My condolences to her family, who loved her deeply.

I am very saddened to hear of Mary's death. I shared time with her on the Editorial Board of Inside Out. (I.A.H.I.P). She was very warm, witty and welcoming to me as a new member. Codladh sámh, Mary.
Deepest sympathies on the untimely death of the lovely Mary to her devoted husband Gabriel, to her beloved children Eoin, Emma & Rosanna and their families & to Mary’s sisters and extended family. I had the great good fortune to meet Mary when the two of us worked in the former Mount St Anne’s Secondary School in Milltown & we kept in touch during the different iterations of our lives. Mary was always elegant, her eye for beauty, colour and detail evident in her gorgeous home in Booterstown. The magnificent garden she created was a delight. More than anything I’ll miss the wonderful conversations we enjoyed and her impish sense of humour. I admired how she found much to celebrate during the extremely difficult circumstances of recent years. Her love for Gabriel, her children and grandchildren was always evident. Unfortunately, we’ll be away and unable to attend the funeral, but we’ll be with you in spirit. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a hanam dílis.
I remember with fondness the music lessons in the early 80’s in the musty basement of St. Anne’s school. She was a lovely teacher and she loved teaching music. May she rest in peace x
Gabriel, my sympathies to you and yours, on this sad loss.
My deepest sympathy Gabriel, to you and your children. Xxx
Fond memories of Ms DeCourcy. A wonderful passionate kind and thoughtful teacher my she rest in peace
My deepest sympathies to Mary's family. Despite her own health troubles, Mary went out of her way to empathise with others of us in the choir who had a brush with cancer. She was a lovely woman with great humour and sound good sense and will be much missed.
Deepest sympathy to Gabriel, Eoin and families.
