Incredibly beautiful & heartbreaking farewell for Aunty Mary. Joanne, Grainne, Mary & Eamon, prepared a beautiful requiem mass for their beloved mum. The songs, that had so many memories of Mary's life, gentle words of her as a mother & grandmother, proud words of her achievements in bridge & many other loves of Marys. The reflections spoken so beautifully by Joanne, Grainne & Mary, were heart rending. Their love of their darling beloved mum, poured out of each of them, through their loss & sadness. I'm sure hearts broke there this morning & many tears were shed, there & remotely. A gloriously loving & respectful farewell to their beloved mother & grandmother, as she transitions peacefully & freely, to be with her beloved Shem & TJ. I'm heartily sorry I couldn't be there today. Joining online, felt like being there. My heart breaks for Marys beautiful family, who have enjured a difficult time of pain, sorrow & overwhelming loss, as they say goodbye to their beloved dad & darling mammy.
Our deepest & profoundly sincere sympathy to Joanne, Mary, Grainne & Eamon. May you be gently held in spirit & love, as your hearts grieve these tremendous losses.

As a fellow Galwegian, it was so lovely to hear a Galway accent & I remember with fondness the warmth of her welcome. When someone you love becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure. May Mary now rest peacefully forever & may the sod lay gently upon her.
