Mrs.Morgan was a lovely friend and neighbour to our family when we lived beside the shop in Tramore Road many years ago. She was so warm and friendly to us in the shop when we arrived in with our pennies to choose some treat and so welcoming to us when we called to the house to see our friends. I visited her about seven years ago with my father Cyril, since departed, and she had wonderful stories about our childhood that I had never heard before. What a memory she had! She will be missed and remembered fondly by all. Codladh Samh.

So very sorry to hear of Mary’s passing. My sincere condolences to you Tomás, Marie, Patrick, Donal, Anne and all the Morgan and Murphy families. Mary was very much part of my childhood and adult life. She and my mother were friends from the age of five as they grew up together in Coppeen in West Cork. She had a phenomenal memory and always kept us entertained with stories from their childhood. Indeed Mary retained this memory and her art of storytelling right up to the end. Your Mum was a truly wonderful person in every way and will be very sadly missed. May she rest in eternal peace.
