My deepest and sincere condolences James and to all of Mary's family. Like many before me in these messages, I have so many fond memories of Mary through my childhood. Her ever kind and gentle soul always added calm to our chaotic house. Over the years since, I always loved bumping into Mary around Ballina but it's been a very long time since that has happened and now, sadly those opportunities are no more.

To James and all Mary’s family. Sincere condolences on the passing of the wonderful Mary, may her gentle soul rest in peace. I was thinking of Mary and you all today as you said your final goodbye’s. Mary was our child minder in London in our early years and herself and James moved back to Ballina where she continued to be our child minder and really was like a second mother, she played a key role in our formative years. Years later I was delighted when ever we bumped into each other like the time she came to my surprise 21st. She was such a lovely lady who I have no doubt has left lots of found memories for lots of people. Small world that it is, I found out through her passing that she was a neighbour of my cousin Fiona Toibin (McGuire) in Aglish, who was able to tell me about how Mary enjoyed life and went on many a holiday and days out with her sister & niece which was great to hear. Mary and I spoke last year about her getting up to Ballina again so she could meet my wife and sons to see if any of them brought back any memories for her but sadly that never came to pass. Rest in peace lovely Mary and thank you for all you did for me! xx.
