I had the privilege of getting to know Mary during her illness through her dear friend Sheila. She was a truly lovely lady whose warmth and kindness clearly touched the hearts of so many.
Mary will be deeply missed by all who knew her. I would also like to make a special acknowledgement to her wonderful colleagues in Claregalway National School, through whom I first made the connection.

My deepest and heartfelt sympathies to the Mullen family on the passing of Mary. She was a true gem and a beautiful soul and a much cherished secretary to all in Claregalway school. She will be greatly missed. I found her so kind and helpful when working as cathaoirleach of the Board of management a few years ago. I will miss her friendly smile and upbeat personality.
