We are so grateful to have known Maria and want to add our heartfelt condolences to you dear Pat and Maria's wonderful family who she spoke about with all the love in the world. We were lucky enough to meet some of you, and to see beautiful photos not so long ago of her beloved Kayleigh, Jack and Gracie Mai. I met Maria as a colleague in Parents under Pressure work 4 years ago and she fast extended her immense capacity for friendship to me and all three of us as a family. She's the definition of kindness, courage and integrity - in her work she saw possibilities instead of obstacles and was fearless in pursuing her vision. As you have faced the day for her today, thank you for giving this space for us to come together and read each others condolences and leave our own. With very much love, in memory of a dear friend.

There are not enough words that can capture the loss Maria is to so many. Having worked alongside this incredible lady for many years, I feel truly blessed to have been touched by her endless warmth and love. Being in her company was always a joy, many laughs were had for sure. Her care, kindness and compassion for others was endless. While her passing leaves a void for so many, Maria's love and great passion for life lives on in her wonderful family and any of us lucky to have known her. May she rest in peace.

Arriving in Cork to work at Bessborough and knowing Maria would pick me up from the hotel and be so welcoming and warm, is up there as fondest of memories. Her visit to us in Brisbane, Australia with her children is also a special memory. Maria, thank you for being a part of my life.

We have such fond memories of having Maria stay with us here in Brisbane. But most of all the gratitude for her amazing support of the PuP program in Ireland. And her dedication to supporting women who have faced such adversity. Her love and spirit remains with us.

Deepest condolences to Maria's family and friends. I knew Maria from Bessborough for a number of years. She was a source of kindness and compassion that seemingly knew no bounds, always seeing the very best in people and situations despite the odds. She was a tireless worker yet always gave her time generously to both colleagues and clients. She was a mentor and advocate, and an absolute font of knowledge. She was also so approachable and down to earth, and always had a genuine smile for everyone. Her love for her family was known to all she met and I know her loss will be felt deeply, but she will be remembered by and has impacted so many people positively. My thoughts are with her nearest and dearest.
