We were so sad to hear of dear Mary's passing RIP. She was always so friendly and welcoming to each one of our family on Finals day when we had to present our late Emma's trophy.
Mary was a true ambassador for GAA and represented everything that was good and kind about the organisation.

Hard to put into words how to describe Mary and the impact she had on many. For me she started out being a colleague in DLGFA but fast turned into a true friend.

I came to know Mary through her involvement with Dublin LGFA and without question and I don't say it lightly - Mary was one of the best volunteers around. Always a kind word, always helpful, always willing to go that extra mile, and always a pleasure to be around. The legacy she has left for countless people will be hard to replicate. A real cornerstone in helping clubs like Na Gaeil Aeracha get off the ground, a lot of Mary's work happened quietly in the background, but was certainly appreciated by all those who came in contact with her. Some of us have watched over the past few years as Mary fought against her illness with such courage, grace and fortitude. We hoped that she had won her battle but sadly that was not to be.

Mary was always a guiding hand to all who needed assistance. She was knowledgeable and willing to share that knowledge with kindness and patience. She was core to DLGFA activities and thus to every club in Dublin. Her commitment to Ladies Football during a period of unprecedented growth helped to forge the development of the game.

The sheer amount of work Mary put into Dublin Ladies Football is staggering. Yet she always had a friendly smile whether on a gate, at a meeting or on a pitch side.

I first got to know Mary about 10 years ago from my involvement with Plunketts and my attendance at Co Board meetings. She was so humble and approachable, a fount of knowledge and it always felt that your problem was the only one that mattered at the time.
