Sincere sympathy to the O’Sullivan family on the sad passing of Mary. A wonderful character. May she Rest In Peace.
Mary O’ Sullivan was that aunt you always want – a real character. She was so funny and witty and very clever with a great in depth knowledge of the world around her. She meant the world to our mother and our mother to her. She could light up a room with her chat and is remembered by all those who met her. She would have been so touched and overcome by all the love shown to her and her funeral showed how much she meant to all those who knew her. We love you and miss you Mary but we know you are up there with mother putting the world to rights and eating your chocolate!

Mary was a wonderful woman and a kind soul. May she RIP.
We lived opposite Mary on Prospect Avenue for the last few years before moving to Canada. We got to know Mary very well with helping her out with shopping etc. She always loved the chats and messing and the kids loved her. She was always very kind and fun with them. It was sad to see her health decrease over the period of time we knew her. Could tell she would have been the life and soul of the party back in the day. Sincere condolences to all her family and friends. Her presence will be missed on Prospect Avenue. She was for sure a character. RIP Mary. X

We were very sad to hear that our dear friend, Mary, had died. We know that she had serious health issues but she always seemed to bounce back whatever befell. Mary was always cheerful and full of life; her sense of humour was renowned, and she loved life, all her friends, her church and her cats! She will be sadly missed by all including in our Church Zoom Services.
Our Condolences to her family and friends. May God comfort and bless them with peace and the hope of a life to come where there will be no more tears and sorrow and no more pain, but joy and peace in everlasting life.
With love,
David and Nancy Silcox

Sincere Condolences to all of the loved ones of the lovely Mary! I only met Mary in church Zoom meetings and what an amazing personality she was! I was looking forward excitedly to meeting her in March on a visit to Dublin but alas, I now have to wait until we meet again in an even better place. For now Mary - may you enjoy a very well deserved rest - you will be missed a lot by your church family but also by your immediate family too. Our thoughts and prayers are very much with all of you at this said time. I hope though there will also be some joy - in celebration of a life very well lived and a life that brought so much joy to so many people! God Bless you all...🙏

I had the pleasure of teaching Mary for a while when she was a secondary school student in the Convent of Mercy, Bantry. Many good memories of her as a lovable rogue. Wherever she was, fun followed her. Although I may have given her many a good tongue lashing because of her pranks she always knew how to charm her way back. My heartfelt condolences to her family and friends. I measc na naomh go raibh sí.
Sad to hear of Marys passing, I remember her from school days and also her dear Mam and Dad, such lovely quiet, sociable family. Bridget was in my class and with her, Bernadette and myself, as a Trio and Secondary Education hard to reach, we stayed in 7th class together. I have fond memories of that year and I wish Mary, Bridget, Billy and parents every happiness now together in Heaven

Dear Mary, you were a much-loved member of our church and even though you had more problems than many to deal with in your day to day life, you rarely failed to brighten up our day whenever we saw you. Through thick and thin, multiple weekly dialysis sessions, nasty falls too numerous to count, you kept on bouncing back, spirits high, unflaggingly cheerful and enthusiastic. You lifted us up by your presence when we were the ones who should have been lifting you up. We loved your wicked sense of humour and your ability to call a two handed digging implement a shovel. We especially remember the time last year when you were so determined to join us at our annual church shindig in Galway that you bust out of hospital and jumped on the train to the West coast, complete with enough oxygen bottles to get you there and back. It is comforting to know you are at peace now with no more suffering, but I somehow hope you can know how much those you left behind are missing you.You were the real thing, Mary, and of course, still are. Looking forward to sharing a glass of the good stuff with you when we see you again. “He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” (Revelation 21:4).
Lots of love and hugs, Pete and Jackie xx
