So sorry to hear about Mary's passing. Sincere condolences, especially to Mattie and his family. One particular memory always comes back to me; I will never forget a trip to the Burren, where as a young boy, I decided to run ahead of the group. I took off like a fighter jet, and my short legs quickly lost control as I tumbled down the hill. Mary was close behind me, and just before I disappeared into the abyss, she managed to save the day. Mary was slightly out of breath and probably annoyed at my attempt to beat the mountain but she still managed to be that kind and reassuring figure amongst the chaos of my attempt at running wild in the Burren. That day, I learned a valuable life lesson from Mary about being that calming influence when everyone else around you is focused on the negative. Mary is gone from this world but never forgotten. May she rest in peace.

Spent may weekends in the Cub Scouts with Mary as our leader.
A fantastic, funny woman who loved having the craic with all the kids, took no sass from anyone and encouraged everyone to succeed in getting the badges.
