She was so interested and involved in her family and life generally, a real force of nature and great fun to be with. We first met her in Kilkee almost 20 years ago and it was a pleasure to meet her occasionally at events over the years since. She will be hugely missed by many after a long and very busy life. It’s with great sadness that we hear of Rita’s passing. Sincere condolences to Siobhan, Geri, Eoin and Liam and extended family. She was like a second mother to Mike and I and a lifelong friend and support to our parents Frank and Eileen Ryan. Rita was a force of nature, highly competent and talented at whatever she put her hand to. I’m delighted that our kids got to know her like we did. We have fond and loving memories of her. She will be sadly missed. May her gentle soul rest in peace.
