I was very sad to hear of Mary’s death.
I first met Mary when we were both patients in the Rehabilitation Unit in Cashel. She was always in good form and great company.
We were on the Lourdes trip last year and she really enjoyed it.
My deepest sympathy to her husband Jim, her daughter Grace her son Brendan and all her family.
May Mary rest in the peace of Heaven.

As I watch the first mass of pope Leo I think of how Mary c would be watching the ceremony with all its traditions as the Catholic faith was at the core of her being and one of her greatest interest was to discuss theology with Fr Coffey
It was with great pride that she received from her grandson Luke a rosary from St Peter’s Square on the day the pope was elected
Rosary beads were Mary’s diamonds and she would associate the beads with the gifter
Although she never got to see the Camino beads from her great friend and neighbour Maureen she had travelled with her every step with all the pictures
When Mary went to st Patrick’s the C was added which was a perfect tribute to her caring compassion and charismatic personality
Mary C was a legend in st Patrick’s to staff patients and relatives a she created a skilled personalised care environment that gave hope and healing along with her great friends Mairead Cantwell and Anne Beattie both departed too
In the old and frail humanity of the elderly she saw their greatness past and present and became their adovacate and professional companion
With thanks to Mary C and staff my late mother Norah died with great care
When illness and dependency came she was an inspiration with her determination to have joy in her beloved home with Jim and to seek to improve any circumstances with her clarity of thought
Her final wish was that the Divine Chaplet would be read at her passing over done so beautifully by Grace
Life was complete
