Dear Mery,
You always made me feel truly welcome. You were always so sweet to me, and I will never forget how warm it felt having dinner in your kitchen.

When we moved to Dublin, Gearoid welcomed us into his home, together with his family, and that generosity meant more than words can say. Along with Kathleen, who lived so close to you and always treated me with such affection, I felt surrounded by warmth and kindness from the very beginning. Your family made me feel like one of their own.

I still feel that love every day, especially through Eilish. Dear Mery, for me, that love is your legacy.

I like to think that my mother will find you above in heaven, to thank you for the love and kindness your family has given me.

Rest peacefully, dear Mery. You will always be remembered with warmth and gratitude in my family.

What a lovely lady and a really good family. My earliest memories are of going to Sloweys shop to get sweets. Mary was always so kind, patient, happy and welcoming to everyone especially the little indecisive ones! A really great lady and she’ll be greatly missed.
