Sorry to hear of Marys death.May she rest in peace.
The minute we moved into Farrenboley, Mary welcomed us into the neighbourhood and into her life. She was much more than a neighbour over the 28 years we knew her. She was a friend, family to my husband Andy, our son Quentin and myself, and she was a constant support in times of need.
She looked after our house and our numerous cats. Mary loved animals and I would often hear her talking to her dog.
She was like a mother to me after I had my horse riding accident and could hardly move, and again when I had a burnout a few years ago.
Mary genuinely cared about people and always had time to listen and to talk. She loved when you called to the house for a chat. She would always laugh and have a funny story to tell you.
With Mary gone, it is a bit of Farrenboley gone as well. She was born there and knew the people, the houses, the history, the way things used to be and the way things started to change.
Mary often told me that you never knew what was around the corner and life was strange. "It is best" she would say, "to enjoy what you have while you can."
One thing I know is that Farrenboley Park will never be the same without Mary, but we will always remember her.
Goodbye Mary, merci pour tout, thank you for everything.
Mary was like someone from our family, always ready to help.
She babysat our cats too many times not to mention our son Quentin on occasion when he was small.
When we would return from being away our fridge would never be empty.Eggs, milk and bread would always have been recently purchased.
We could take her car whenever needed.
You were so caring and concerned with what was happening in the world Mary.
You will be really missed.
Bye Mary.
I will always treasure my memory when Mary travelled with me over to Italy to visit my Aunt Berni who lived outside Venice at the time, we had such a giggle on our trip away. Marys laugh was infectious and so very heart warming. God bless to Sean and her family and friends. Keeping you all in my prayers and thoughts at this time.
