Hearing of this was a great shock and very saddening. My thoughts and prayers are with Tony, Anne, Miriam, JJ, James, and Clare and Senan.

Although we hadn't been in touch for a long time, this didn't matter a jot to Mary and time spent with family last April was a joy. Such was the warm and welcoming essence of her nature.

My deepest sympathies to Mary's husband Tony, and her family, furbabies and many, many friends. I knew Mary from our meditation group, which she lit up with her presence: mindful of others, fun to be with and generous to a fault. She always arrived with a treat from Mortons, despite not eating them herself! I have lavender in my garden courtesy of Mary's kindness and will think of her every time it blooms. May her beautiful soul rest in eternal peace.

I had the pleasure of meeting Mary through our mutual interest in spirituality. She was so generous of heart and so vibrant that when I think of her I smile. Sincerest condolences to Tony, her children, extended family and friends.

I’m so saddened to hear of Mary’s passing. I knew Mary from our school days in St. Louis Rathmines. Always laughing, smiling and generous to all around her. I have an abiding memory of her being addicted to the TV programme Charlie’s Angels and we all had to hear of the last episode she watched. A vibrant character and always great company. We had some laughs and went to many “disco’s” together. Sounds like she never changed - reading through the messages. Mary, may you sleep peacefully.

I was so, so sorry to hear of Mary's death. I remember her as a child when she came to Bunclody on holiday and used to come to 'our' house to play. I didn't see her since then until we accidently met some years ago. We instantly recognised each other. She was the same person as an adult as I remembered as a child, full of life and warmth. We since met on occasion and always had such great chats. Mary was such a lovely person. My sincere sympathy to Tony and family on your terrible loss.
