I had the great pleasure of being trained by Mary in St Pats, when I qualified I was yet again lucky to work with her on Dean Swift ward, she was an amazing manager, mentor, friend and colleague. Her level of knowledge, her kindness to us nurses and patients never wavered, but if all things , her quick wit and sense of humour made our long working days so much happier. I now teach students and have always told them of the legend Mary Scully who knew all medications, what worked, what didn’t, what disorder , how to treat it, even Dr’s came to her for advice. She was a guiding light for many. But if Liverpool lost a game then we all knew about it, to be honest she would have been a great replacement for Klopp. We missed you when you retired, and we will always miss you. My deepest condolences to all Mary’s family and friends. We were all truly blessed to have had her in our lives xxxx
