She was also so generous to us, growing up in Laburnum Park, and even more so in recent years when we'd come back with our own kids. Mary Tobin was an outstanding neighbour who was extremely kind and involved in the care of and attention to my mother Mary Margaret (Mollie) Lehane. They lived across the street from each other, Mary at "Carrigboy" and Mollie at "Jalna". Once my mother moved to Beaumont Rest Care, Mary continued to visit consistently and faithfully until Mollie died just short of her 104th birthday in February, 2020.
Mary was always kind to José and me when we stayed at Mollie's house on Laburnum Park, a number of times each year. She would invite us to her house for coffee and cake , and it was a wonderful opportunity to catch up.
Mary was an incredible person, and we send our sincere condolences to her sons and extended family

Dear Des, Brendan & the family. It was with much regret that we learned of the untimely demise of your good and much loved mother Mary. Death however inevitable is indeed a very unwelcome visitor to every household. It is a very poignant time, a time of reflection and sadness upon a life lived so well lived for so long with her unique benign stewardship. A lifetime of love, affection, caring & sharing both with and for you all.

Be assured, that soon your grief will be replaced with great memories, stories of joy and privilege.
