Mary was an exceptionally generous, beautiful and caring woman. She always made me laugh and put a smile on my face! She put others before herself and had a heart of gold. She was a regular customer at my part time job and I've missed her dearly over the past year. I'm deeply sorry to hear of her passing. My thoughts and prayers are with her family. I know she will be missed so much. She had a beautiful faith in God. May she rest in peace in Heaven. Beautiful Angel Mary. Much love.

What an amazing lady Mrs Tobin was. She was my teacher for 2 years in Scoil Ide and the biggest lesson she thought me was confidence. I wasn’t fabulous academically and she knew that but it didn’t stop her telling me I was fabulous. She told me that people only know what they see and if I could walk and talk like I’m fabulous nobody would know any different.
She would give me little pep talks in the cloakroom and a little dig on the arm when she seen me strutting like I own this. She was glamorous and inspirational and I’m so lucky to have had her as my teacher.

To Mary’s family and her grandchildren who she was so proud of . I met Mary coming into OReillys auction rooms over the years and she became a great friend to us all . Mary was such a warm person who was incredible brave through her cancer, it saddens me to hear of her passing, May she rest in peace .

Mary was in my class in Tuam, a girl full of fun and devilment. When we broke the rules (like not observing the required silence before breakfast in the refectory) she would honourably admit it, even though it often got her into trouble. That upright nature I’ll always associate with Mary.

Sorry to hear about Mary's death.
I worked in Scoil Ide when she was there.
Both my daughters Anna and Roisin had her as a teacher.
She was lovely to the children in her class. Once she took the whole class up to local shop and got them ice cream.
She was a very stylish person and always looked lovely.
