During the time we served on the National Executives of both the ITGWU & SIPTU we met and engaged with members all over the country. Friendships ensued and memories of dedicated members union loyalty endured. Mary Traynor occupied a very special place in our reverie as one of those with whom we shared occasions which involved union and social events. She was a gentle person and her demeanour was always one of kindness to her friends. It was our great privilege to have known Mary as a a very special friend and shared unforgettable times in company with her and her dear friend and companion, the late Chrissie O'Flynn. Both are now reunited in the hereafter which will be enriched by their presence.
We extend our most sincere sympathy to her immediate and extended family on her very sad departure from this life.
