Our prayers with all of the Hayes and Whelan families at this very sad time. I can still so well remember Mary spending two weeks as a trainee teacher in Kilsheelan school all those years ago. I was in the middle room at the time second to fourth class. Mary was so kind, considerate, so full of compassion for those children who did not always have a correct answer, and was so encouraging and helpful. We were all so very sad when Mary left after the two weeks. It was easily my favourite time ever in school and my happiest. Mary was such a caring teacher, all I can say is Thank-You. How I would have loved to have had Mary teach me for longer. May her reward in the next life be great.
