I am so sad to hear of the passing of Mary. A remarkable lady. It was always uplifting and empowering to spend time in her company. She was full of energy, of goodwill and of kindness. Her spark and joy meant time in her company was always enjoyable. Mary had a wonderful intellect and a big picture view of the world. She was a wonderful source of advice and encouragement to me during the local election campaign in 2019 and an epic canvasser. My sincerest sympathies to Padraic and Cliona. She always spoke of you both with huge pride. May she rest in peace.

I got to know Senator Mary while serving on the Ard Comhairle. She stood out as having a clear vision; evident from her many achievements in both business, by creating employment and in politics affecting situational change.
She genuinely cared about Ireland’s future and it was always a worthwhile venture to be part of the FF Dublin Women’s delegation to Belfast, during the Peace Process years, ably led by Mary; where scheduled meetings with community took place forging a better N/S understanding. The respect and welcome she garnered there each time was commendable. She was audacious and brought a bold persistent hope to a community in waiting.
Mary’s leadership was rooted in conviction and service, defined by the legacy she leaves. I will always remember her boundless energy, determination, sincerity and kindness.

We are Heartbroken at the news my good friend Senator Mary White has departed this world.

Mary’s kindness was never ending and I particularly remember this time 15 years ago when she came to visit my new born son and I in Holles Street every day and looked after us.

Mary gave me my first job in Dublin in Lir Choclates her and Connie Doody’s company.

Mary went on to mentor me in politics and became a wonderful friend.

I learnt so much from Mary and will miss her deeply.

May you sleep with the angels.
