First of all there really is “Something About Mary”
We’ve each known Mary from a few years to 8 plus decades.
Mary was a BRIGHT LIGHT on our small road, often a flash of light as she zoomed like the Energiser Bunny up and down on her many errands whether to daily mass, her regular weekly hair appointments, her Saturday night out at the GAA club or her Sunday dinner runs with tin foiled plate in hand to her dear brother.
All done with such enthusiasm.
But she was also a WARM LIGHT, any encounter met with a smile, an immediate ask about how you and your loved ones were doing.
God forbid you would have an issue of concern and she’d whip a Mass Card out of thin air with her sincere and heartfelt concern to ease your troubles with her faith in God.
She is also an ENDURING LIGHT, whose personality created memorable moments, each individual and each very personal.
There really is Something About Mary.
Rest in Peace.
