William, Neville, Ruth and your families, may I extend sincerest condolences on behalf of the O'Callaghan and Connell families in New York. We first met your mother Mary when she and Bill came on their honeymoon to the "Big Apple." Again, in the late 80's I recall the entire family coming for a visit to Bill's sister Pauline and her family in Lindenhurst, Long Island. There was always lots of fun and laughter! Our last meeting, a few years ago at the restaurant in Glasnevin Cemetery, found Mary in the middle of making another baby blanket as Ruth was expecting again. She and Bill are now reunited in Heaven. We will be watching her service tomorrow and praying for all of you. God bless and take comfort in the happy times you all shared. "Cousin" Barbara

William , Neville, Ruth and families. I’m sorry to hear your sad news . Mary was a lovely person and a wonderful friend to Scoil Iosagáin, pupils and staff. She gave her time so freely for many years in her various roles whether it was doing the accounts,running the shop , on the Parents’ Council and Board of Management. If we needed clarification on anything we always said “Ask Mary “. She loved her fashion and her paintings were truly amazing . I have fond memories of Mary , a true lady . RIP Mary.

William, Neville and Ruth. So sorry to hear of your Mam's death. Mary was a true friend to Scoil Iosagain.Her loyalty began when William enrolled but continued for well over 30 years...we used to joke that Mary Wylie was the Real Principal of Scoil Iosagain!! She dedicated herself to all financial matters, but more importantly she was a caring supporter of all staff, pupils and members of the BOM and Parents' Council. I enjoyed our early morning chats on Wednesdays as she prepared for her Art Classes. She was a wonderful artist but was always so modest about her talent. Mary was an absolute lady, one of life's good people and will always be remembered with appreciation and love. Rest in Peace Mary.
