I am saddened to hear of Mattie' s passing. Last time I met him was reunion of st Anthony's Clara. I have fond memories of our times in Clara and we joined same day and we travellwd together.

To the family and relatives of Mattie McKiernan RIP, I am sorry for your loss. I first met Mattie in the early 1960's at St.Anthony's College, Clara, Co. Offaly and again in 2013, along with his sons Eamon and Dominic, at a 50th year school reunion in Offaly. Since then we had the pleasure of the odd email exchange and telephone call.
He was a fighter and an inspiration to all. RIP Mattie.
