After years of being regaled with tales of Keenagh, I was delighted in 1973 to meet Matt at the world’s most welcoming house. Matt and Bridgie were legendary hosts and to stay with them was a truly unforgettable experience. Amongst so many other things, I fondly remember walking with Matt, learning about the ways of the West, and generally soaking up his humour and outlook on life. A good man, remembered with great affection.
