Matt LAMEY

Two months on sleep well Matthew a wonderful son, brother, husband and dad. Reunited with your mum. Words cannot say how much I miss you but will be reunited with all in God's time. Sleep well sweet child safe in Jesus's care. Lots of love dad till we meet again.

I had the pleasure of working with Matt at Manchester Airport and was blessed to have him as my line manager, during that time. My sincere condolences to Matt's wife, children, family and friends. Matt was a lovely gentleman and he will be sadly missed. xx

Mary, Martin, Aiden & Connell & The Lamey family, my sincerest condolences on the loss of a husband, father & son. Matt was an incredible colleague who became a good friend.
He had a wicked sense of humour and the heart of a true humanitarian. We delivered safeguarding training together and he had a real passion for saving and helping the vulnerable. Id watch him passionately deliver training. To work with he was calm, diplomatic and always impressive in how he handled trouble at the border!
Matt always made work enjoyable.
He will always be missed by his friends at BF.

I had the privilege to be Matthew's teacher when he was 6 at Heyes Lane Infant School in Timperley. He along with his siblings, Richard, Philip and Sarah were a really special family. When he was older he spent time working with me in the classroom to get experience before going to university to train as a teacher, he always had a great rapport with the children and I always felt he would make a really wonderful teacher.
Words cannot express how shocked and saddened I was to hear of his untimely death. I send my sincere condolences to Mary and her children and also to John, Maureen, Richard, Philip and Sarah at this very sad time.

Matt was as kind and patient a man as I’ve ever met. He radiated empathy and could relate to anyone he met. I’m lucky amongst our circle of friends from home in that I saw him teach, it felt like his calling, and I’m glad this was something he eventually came back to, but those same qualities shone through wherever he was. The messages here only reinforce the sense we’ve got about how many people’s lives he touched, especially after moving to Ireland such a short time ago. I’m grateful for the community he was able to find and for the friends and family that will be there for Mary and the boys. RIP my friend x

Word’s cannot express our heartfelt sympathy. It is hard to comprehend that he was taken from us all in such a way in the blink of an eye. Just an ordinary day, so young, no illness, a loving wife Mary and young family. I am just pleased that you all got to sit with him for that final day and say your goodbyes. No father should ever have to say goodby to his son. That must be so so hard.
In a way it is comforting to know that Matt has been able to help others who were suffering and will have given them a better quality of life. It is just so heartbreaking that he was taken far too soon. He had so much living left to do, watching his son’s develop into young men and achieve their dreams and aspirations. I know he would have been so proud of them all. As we have been watching Matt, Richard, Phillip and Sarah since their Dear Mother Vivienne passed away when they were still young.
Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you all. We are just sorry that we are unable to be with you all to support you and say our last goodbye.

I always enjoyed working on shift with Matt he was such a kind funny thoughtful person who really cared about his colleagues. A wonderful person and a huge loss to everyone who knew him.

For those days I am especially grateful.
