It is with deep regret I notice Mat's death in todays paper. I was a colleague of his in his playing days in the club and remember him well as a very effective left arm bowler but more importantly as a thorough gentleman, good sport and storyteller. On behalf of his still surviving team members we extend to you, Paula our sincerest sympathy. May he rest in peace.

We travelled together on the bus many years ago ,to work ,you to arnotts and me to specsavers, in the early nineties.You were always the most glamorous person on the bus . You Spoke very fondly on Mathew then . May he rest in peace
