So saddened to hear of Matt’s passing. Anytime that I talked to him, he was always kind to me. My thoughts go out to his family and all those who knew him at this difficult time.

Rest in peace Matt very sad to hear the news he was a lovely man. I will miss having a chat in the morning, I remember one morning he even brought us in donuts from his birthday🙏🏻 he was a gentleman rip.

So sorry to hear Matt has gone . First met him in the seventies with his partner Jimmy Malynn when they started working in the “Real” Brown Thomas . They were two of the nicest men I ever met in all my life. Sadly Jimmy died by accident but Matt soldiered on. He was always available and was so quick witted .I never saw him in bad humour!
I had to finish in BT after a bad motor cycle accident in1984 but Matt kept in touch until he knew I was back on my feet!
