It is with the deepest of sadness that my Grand Father Matthew has passed away. Even though I didn't live close to him. He was a big part of my life. Himself and my Grand Mother Josephine would come to Canada almost every other year to visit. Those summers where the highlight of the year. My memories are great having them spend time with us be it at our home or enjoying the cottage and many nights of staying up late drinking and playing our famous card game "Newmarket". Listing to Neil Diamond and having a great laugh. Grandad I know you will be at peace up in heaven with the rest of the family and those who remain here will have many great memories to hold onto. To my parents and all my Aunts I'm so sad for your loss of your father and to my cousin's for the loss of our Grandad. May we all have and share as many memories of them to carry of through the generations . Peace be with everyone at this time. Love to all and God Bless Grandad. xxoo

Dad lived a long life Retired from Aer Lingus He was a very knowledgeable person interested in many things and world events He enjoyed his Trips to Canada with my mom and the card games ( New Market ) at the cottage and always talked about the Big one that got away from him

We are so sad to hear of the passing of my Uncle Mattie. He is the last of my GREAT Aunts & Uncles in my Dad's (Jack Kerins) family. I have lots of childhood memories of all of my Dad's Sisters and Brothers they were a tight knit and loving family.I hope they are all together again in Heaven and sitting in the local pub enjoying their pint.
