I knew Matthew from school he was such a friendly person to know we often played five a side in Portmarnock with a big group of lads he was always mad for Liverpool, and we'd often bump into him of a night out and have a great laugh together. Rest in peace Matthew

I am heartbroken at the death of Matthew Lardner. I grew up often holidaying with Matthew & family and as an adult see him maybe, once a year, and recently every 2 or 3 years, but whatever the time gap it didn't matter. It was always easy to be in Matthew's company. You never had to prove anything. It was always calm (he'd not be rushing!), filled with humour and his chuckle or laugh. He was kind, always happy to meet in Dublin or give me a lift down to a family gathering. Miss you Mattman! X x

We only got to know Matthew for a short time on the Sunday morning at Dublin dog training as he worked so well with his beloved dog waffles. Since then I have had the pleasure of his company on the golf course on many occasions and always enjoyed my time with him. One of the good guys - he will be missed. RIP.

Deepest condolences to Matthews family. I met Matthew over a year ago when he began training his dog Waffles at agility in Dublin Dog Training. He always had a smile on his face, enjoyed the jokes and himself and Waffles were improving every week! Will sorely miss having a chat with him every sunday morning. RIP

I lived with Mattie for a few years in our early 20s. I remember that time fondly. Matthew was such a decent man, great company with a very funny sense of humour.
