I was so deeply saddened to hear of your passing Uncle Matt and you’ve been in my thoughts ever since. In moments like these, I find myself remembering the bright, joyful times we’ve shared over the years, especially those family weddings where you always seemed to bring the room to life.

You had a way of making every gathering feel richer. I can still picture you at the reception tables, telling stories that stretched across generations, weaving together the Keating family history with such clarity and pride. Your knowledge of our ancestry was nothing short of remarkable. You didn’t just remember names and dates, you carried the spirit of the people who came before us, and you shared it in a way that made us feel connected to something bigger than ourselves.

Those happy moments, laughing together and listening to your stories are memories I’ll always hold close. They’re reminders of the warmth, wisdom, and generosity you’ve brought to our family.

Please also know that your passing is felt deeply across the miles. As your eldest niece, I (Mary) along with Giuseppe, Jessica, and Francesco in Leamington Spa, England, are holding you in our hearts. We are remembering you with love, gratitude, and the fondest memories of the times we shared.

You will be missed more than words can express by your brother Eugene and sister-in-law Mary and your legacy—both in our family history and in our lives—will continue to shine.

So sorry to hear of Matt's passing., may the light of heaven shine on him . Matt was fantastic conversationalist a font of knowledge, especially of who was related to who and extended family trees. He was a regular in DR. Cullen park for Carlow and MLR games . relishing in particular MLR'S hurling successes. Time spent with Matt was always enlightening RIP.
