I have so many great memories of Uncle Matt. I clearly remember one particular day when I was about 7 or so, Matt used drive a van for work (I think it was an ESB van). It was beautiful summer's day, so, He put me in the passenger seat and put the golden retriever Sandy in the back and we headed for the strawberry beds along the liffy . We met up with next door neighbour Michael and his dog Rocky. It was the first time I ever saw a dog being thrown into the water. Both dogs truly enjoyed the day, as did I with my uncle Matt. With my hand on my heart I can honestly say that Matt was a gentleman in every way. For certain Matt is with his Father in Heaven, his parents, siblings and his little daughter. Thank you Matt for being my uncle, I will always treasure that day.... R.I.P.
