Sincere condolences on Matt's passing. A true gentleman.

We are deeply saddened on the passing of Matt. Our sympathies and prayers are with his relatives and his wide circle of friends. I worked with Matt on the establishment and development of the National Maintenance Association. In 1998 Matt was justifiably conferred with the EUROMAINTENANCE INCENTIVE AWARD for his work in the field of training and education. He was a person of great foresight. He was my “go-to” person when I needed advice which he always gave with accuracy and precision. May perpetual light shine upon him and may his gentle soul through the mercy of God rest in peace.

My connections to Matty go way back to Navan where Matty was born and where two of my very best friends were his previously deceased brother James & his sister Ann.What endeared me to matty was his impish smile and his witty sense of humour . Matty will be sadly missed by his own direct family to whom he was a devoted father and who will happily treasure the many happy years spent together but perhaps the memory they will remember in the years ahead and will make them feel really proud was the tremendous impact he had on so many people durng his time on this earth .Go join your beloved wife and your brother & sister in God's heavenly home .

Matt was head of department in DIT Bolton Street in the early 90s when studied Engineering. He was an absolute Gentleman who helped everyone he came in contact with. He was a hugely positive influence on the people he came in contact with including me.
