Mattie will be mourned far and wide. He truly embodied the spirit of Robertstown Tidy Towns. Alongside Carmel, he was at the heart of it all for decades—working tirelessly to keep the village at its best, from mowing grass, organising fundraisers, litter picking, putting up lights, (& taking them down) and arranging the Christmas tree. Perhaps most special of all was his role in bringing Santa to the village each year, creating joy for so many children.

Always giving, always present, and always wearing that familiar cheeky smile, Mattie will be fondly remembered and loved by all who knew him.

Mattie, may you now rest in eternal peace, reunited with those gone before you, free from all suffering, now in the arms of the Angels. May he rest in peace.
