To Miriam and the McGuinness family - my deepest sympathy to you all. It is with a heavy heart that I say farewell to Mattie. It was an honour to have known him. I have many fond memories but especially of my Christmas visits - as much a part of my Christmas as the Christmas tree itself. His welcome, his reminiscences, his smile.....and the chocolates! Many thanks Mattie. Rest in peace now. Wishing comfort and strength to you all at this very sad time.

Miriam, Noel Aiden & all the McGuinness family, so saddened to hear of your dads passing. I was privileged to have known him a true gentleman. He played football with my dad Baldoyle United, lovely chats with him in Whitehall C C .
