Was so deeply saddened to hear of the loss of Matthew. As a teenager i spent many hours in his home with my dear friend BB and was always warmly welcomed. He was such a gently and kind man. Sending all my love and strength to my beautiful friend BB and her family at this heartbreaking time.

As you all know, Matt was my childhood doctor, neighbour, and father of my dear, childhood friend, Nicky. I always felt love, support, kindness and care in all my times with him. I never passed your house on Orwell Road, or subsequently in Milltown, without filling with the warmth he had always shared with me. What a beautiful legacy to have left. What a beautiful man to have known. My deepest condolences.
