Deepest sympathy to the extended Byrne family in New Zealand and here in Ireland at this sad time.
Mattie was such a lovely friendly gentleman who with his daughter extended a warm welcome to us when we visited New Zealand 25 years ago.
May his kindness be rewarded in heaven and may he rest in peace.
