I was so sorry to hear of Mrs.MacLachlan’s passing. I have the fondest memories of her during my time as a pupil in Gorey Central School. I will always remember her kindness, work ethic and style. Deepest sympathy to you all who grieve for Maud. I had the pleasure of visiting both your parents in their home and got such a warm welcome and was treated to tea and her tasty homemade cake. We also had the pleasure of welcoming them to County Clare on a return visit and taking them to the ancestral home of the Mac Lachlan's in Knockerra and to meet the present residents the Troy family. They endeared themselves to all who had the pleasure of meeting them, such a lovely couple. May Maud now be united with her dear husband Jim where they will enjoy heavenly peace.

We were so sad to hear of Maud's passing. We both had the pleasure of teaching drama in Gorey Central School while Maud was principal. Maud was a pleasure to work with, always so kind, positive, supportive and creative. There was a wonderful atmosphere of learning and caring under her guidance.
